Bolton
Hospice has appointed txttrans as their mobile partner.
txttrans will provide one of the UK’s leading hospices with the ability to communicate, receive donations and sponsorship funds from their supporters via the mobile phone. The first campaigns will be “Bring £1 To Work” & “Light Up A Life”.
The txttrans Fundraising solution is not based on Premium Rate text messaging, but instead supporters use the mobile internet in conjunction with their credit or debit cards to facilitate the transaction.
Gareth Cook, Marketing Director at txttrans said – ‘People are using their mobile everyday for much more than simple calls and texting. Our unique solution enables supporters to communicate with the Bolton Hospice, Offer support and if they wish, donate on an impulsive basis. What’s more as our solution does not raise funds for the Bolton Hospice via Premium Rate text messaging, the hospice keeps a much greater amount of money as a result.’
Debra Graham Director of Fundraising at Bolton Hospice said - We are delighted to be one of the pioneers of mobile donations in the hospice movement. It is important to look forward with how we market the need for support and research new ways of enabling people to give. Everyone has a mobile phone these days – no matter what their age! This is a quick and easy way to give and we are hoping people will act on impulse to support their local hospice.
